Train to Teach Event at Redhill School

At our Get into Teaching events, you will discover all you need to know about school direct training at Redhill School/Stourbridge Teaching School Alliance. We offer primary and secondary courses across the whole range of subjects, all of which lead to QTS and PGCE qualifications accredited through our two providers, University of Worcester and Haybridge Alliance SCITT (Birmingham City University). You will get the opportunity to speak to teachers and current trainees to gain a complete insight into the course as well as advice on how to complete your UCAS application. There are a number of places available across all the schools in our alliance and we will be happy to talk to you about the best placement for you. 

There is an emphasis on Quality First teaching and learning across all our schools, as shown in the excellent outcomes for pupils and from the first day you will feel part of the team. Training to teach at Redhill School/Stourbridge Teaching School Alliance will not only assure you of a quality experience, but we also pride ourselves on our caring and supportive team who will guide you through your training year.

Improving Continuity in Maths across the Transition between Primary and Secondary School

Stour Vale Academy Trust, in collaboration with Maths Hubs Central, invites teachers of mathematics at KS2 and KS3 to join a Work Group designed to help ensure a smooth transition in pupils’ maths learning between primary and secondary school.

The Work Group will meet during four twilight sessions in the spring and summer term 2019. There is no charge for schools; all costs are met by Maths Hub funds.
